After careful consideration, lawyer Jean-Claude Boyer decided to make the leap into municipal politics with the Citoyens d'abord Saint-Bruno (Citizens First Team) of Ludovic Grisé Farand and that he will be a candidate in district 2 in the municipal elections this November.

Currently semi-retired, after having been a commissioner at the Parole Board of Canada where, he was a training manager. The father of four boys first made a career in the Department of Youth Protection and then as a prosecutor in the Department of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions.

For two decades, he specialized in prosecuting street gangs, bikers and the mafia. Me Boyer won the first case in Canada under the law on gangsterism, which subsequently brought an end to the biker war in Quebec.

In addition to his professional activities, the candidate is involved in volunteering, particularly with environmental groups and with the AS Montis soccer association in Saint-Bruno.

He explains his decision to enter municipal politics by his desire to get the city back on track and break the current deadlock in city council. "I want to work in a spirit of openness and collaboration with all elected officials and citizens of Saint-Bruno so that the city can start functioning well once again and structuring projects so they can move forward. This is how we will bring back to our city the peace and respect that previously existed within the city administration and its citizens. I am also impressed by the quality of the candidates that Ludovic Grisé Farand was able to recruit, it is really a team that will be able to bring about change, take care of the environment and make Saint-Bruno the best-managed city in Quebec once again ".
